Delete your Mora account

You can delete your Mora account and everything in it from the app. No app? Ask us below.

In the app

  1. Open Mora. On the chat screen, tap your picture (or your initial) at the top.
  2. Tap Privacy.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Tap Delete account again to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out. It can't be undone.

No app? Ask us to delete it

Send us the phone number you signed up with. We'll message that number on WhatsApp to confirm it's you, and we only go ahead once you reply from it. We delete the account within 7 days of your request. If you don't reply, nothing is deleted.

What's deleted

Your account and everything in it: your profile (name, phone number, photo, and settings), your chat with Mora, the voice notes, photos, and documents you sent and the text read from them, your tasks, reminders, and notes, linked WhatsApp numbers, your devices and notification settings, and your support requests. The files you sent are removed right after the account.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Security records, detached from your account and with your IP address shortened — until their 90 days run out
  • A record of the consents you gave or withdrew, without your name, phone number, or full IP address — 5 years, as proof of consent
  • An anonymous record that an account was deleted, with no name or phone number — 5 years
  • Technical records of our requests to AI providers (which service, when, and whether it worked — not what you sent, and not linked to you) — 6 months
  • Encrypted backups — up to 30 days
  • If you asked on this page: your request (phone number, name, and date) — 90 days after we've handled it
